Hamra and the Jungle of Memories by Hanna Alkaf

Did not finish book. Stopped at 37%.
This is a book I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a child, but I just struggled to get through it. The very real depiction of life in covid was hard to read. And then I just found myself horribly annoyed by Hamra. Every time she did something wrong and her only explanation was that she knew it was wrong but couldn't help herself had me gritting my teeth. And I'm sure the intent is for her to learn and grow, but I couldn't deal with it any more.
