When She Woke by Hillary Jordan

5.0

I think most of the reason I enjoyed this book so much is because of how deeply I connect with the values it discusses at this phase in my life. Many people feel that the book lost direction in the second half of the novel, however I feel it went directly where it needed to go. Hannah's character, while muddling through an internal conflict questioning everything she grew up on, is so honestly and realistically developed that you never think "huh that was out of character for her" or "I would've changed this part", rather you believe the story as much as you do your own life's events. Maybe I'm on of few who truly love this book but I am sure I will be picking it up many more times.
