Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams: Short Stories, Prose and Diary Excerpts by Sylvia Plath
3.0
dnf :/
but what i did read was quite enjoyable! the essays were my favorite :) plath was truly genius. more than just a poet; although, after reading “A Comparison” i’m not sure that means much ;)
the stories were hit or miss imo, but i found “Johnny Panic” & “Stone Boy With Dolphin” super compelling and enjoyable!
don’t know how i feel about the journal entries… they give a close, personal look into her mind - which makes me sad & uncomfortable… but maybe that’s the point?
mixed feelings about the collection as a whole. would check out again to revisit my favorites, though!!!
