We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

4.0

Oh my god??? okay like I went into this not expecting a lot. I knew that there was some big twist and I knew it was really hyped up last year but other than that I really knew nothing.

I thought the writing was really interesting style. It was very poetic and almost reminded me of Tahereh Mafi at times?? Once I got used to the dramatic metaphors they were really interesting to read. The first one about getting shot was really intense and I had to like step back and put it down because woah?? My only thing is I never really understood where the "Liars" name came from??

But the end was just so intense and I didn't really see it coming?? I knew there was a twist but I didn't expect it to be THAT??
Overall I really enjoyed this book. Not what I was expecting.
