5.0

one of the EASIEST five stars I’ve ever given in my existence of reading 🥹🥹🥹

I took my time reading this one, and I’m so happy I did! I felt like I was going along on this three hundred year long journey with addie and experiencing time as it stands, moment to moment 🤍🤍

I feel at a loss for words as I’m typing this because what words can I possibly add to this masterpiece that haven’t already been said?

the themes of this story go way beyond the magical realism elements: stories of loss, hope, love, grief, happiness, and finding a little ray of sunshine everywhere you go 💛

the characters were such a fabulous compliment to addie’s character, assisting her to grow throughout time, even if they didn’t realize it.

the classic light versus dark themes were so twisted and turned that I absolutely LOVED how you couldn’t tell what side was up and what side was down 😇 and can we talk about how fabulous luc was? gave me alllll of the shadow and bone vibes

as much as I wished I listened to my friends and read this sooner, I feel like I’m at a perfect time of my life to actually listen to the brokenness in humanity and retain this book far past my normal span 🥹🥹

there were allllll of the emotions during this reading, and I’m so happy to experience every single one of them - even as I bawled my eyes out at the end 😭🤍

is it too early for a re-read? asking for a friend 😅
