Really Very Crunchy: A Beginner's Guide to Removing Toxins from Your Life without Adding Them to Your Personality by Emily Morrow
5.0
I came into crunchiness from a place of frugality. So, while I share a lot of views and ways of living with Emily, there are others that I have not been able to connect on or implement in my family's life. I loved her take on crunchiness being a spectrum.
As for parenting, I did elimination communication with my kids and was happy to see someone else talking about it. I expected her views on screens and being outdoors to be on track with mine. But I was nervous when it came to the part of the book on feeding babies. I was happy to find that her balanced take on crunchiness expanded to this aspect of parenting. As a mom of 3, who had 3 entirely different breastfeeding journeys, none of which went how I expected, I was happy to see her take all the factors of mom's and babies into account, while still saying her piece. I appreciated that a lot.
