i don’t know what i was expecting with this book since i pretty much went in blind, but it didn’t hit like i thought it would. it was dark just to be dark and i think the plot could’ve been expanded on a lot better than it was. the unaliving scenes were probably the most gruesome i’ve ever read and i’m not sure how to feel about that. once i got to a certain point in the book, i felt like i was reading it just to finish it. didn’t really do much for me, unfortunately.
