This one brought me back to his Naked/MeTalk Pretty... days. Those were my favorite books of his, and LEDWO elbowed its way into the top spot of book love in my heart. The essays are such classic Sedaris - so funny, charming, and insightful while recognizing that he has a knack for irresponsible behavior and being a Judgy McJudgerton I want as my neighbor. Then the fictional essays popped up, making me smile and shake my head as he made a point about something big in a cheeky, exaggerated way that felt real. This guy is a talent I deeply respect, and this book brought me back to the days when I was on the bus into NYC reading Naked & Me Talk Pretty..., laughing out loud so hard that people wouldn't take the seat next to me.
For the inane stories, for the crafty writing, for the fun of it, get this one ASAP.
