I took this book on a trip to France a few months back, and it was a lovely little travel companion! It was whimsical, easy to put down and get back into later, and light  — both physically and emotionally. In literature, a story that explains a natural phenomenon is known as a myth. By that definition, this book is full of myths, as chapters delve into why we have certain kinds of dreams and how they can prompt action in our waking lives. The structure of the book reminded me of a slice-of-life webcomic; the chapters were connected by the characters and setting but didn't have much of an overarching plot. This could have become a favorite read of 2024 if it did have a bit more of that substance, but overall I enjoyed it for what it was.
