For me, reading Palahniuk is like reading Charles Bukowski: I keep giving it a try because so many people gush about his books and I appreciate a good turn of phrase, but ultimately his work is pretty forgettable. Or, it tries to be really crazy and jarring and leaves me feeling kinda meh anyway.
