Waiting Game by G.A. Mazurke

4.0

Yes! @sparksflystudios and @gamazurke offered ALCs for both End Game and Waiting Game and you know I 100% needed both of them.

As much as I love Liam and Gracie from End Game, there’s something about the sweetness of Cole and Mia (and also the absolute steaming sexiness) that tips my favorites scale a bit in their direction.

Cole meets Mia as his skating coach at the same time he swiped right on her via a hookup app. They share a fantastic time including amazing $ex.

Unfortunately he almost immediately finds out she’s the woman who betrayed Gracie who is like a sister to him. He can’t reconcile the woman he knows with the traitor, but he texts her that he can’t continue with his skating lessons and moves on. Or does he?!

He does not. He sees her on his brother’s laptop screen in her role as a cam girl and instantly knows she’s his. No matter what.

As always there’s more going on than a quick review allows me to get into. We have Cole who is a genuine darling. He’s charming and flirty and a big fan of romance novels. He hates the miscommunication trope and third act breakups. We have Mia who is doing all she can to keep her family’s bar afloat hence her cam girls to activities. There’s a reason she betrayed Gracie, but can they get past it?

And listen, this narration is soooo easy on your ears. It’s absolutely perfect. #cjbloom is delightful as Mia and this might be my favorite @aaronshedlock performance. His tone is positively delightful as Cole. He matches that charming golden retriever vibe with aplomb.

So, if you’re looking for a sexy good time, you should definitely listen to this book. Or read it with your eyeballs. Whatever you prefer.

Thanks again @sparksflystudios and @gamazurke! All thoughts are mine alone.
