I did not expect to get super emotional while reading this story. Yet I found myself crying. Sienna Naples had just divorced her husband. Her friend put up ads around town looking for husband number 2 as a joke. Sienna didn't expect anyone to actually answer the ad. Enter Guy Maple. He's desperate for his daughter to get a kidney transplant so he'll do anything to show her medical team that he will be able to get the anti-rejection meds she'll need for life. I have a soft spot for kids in stories. Emma pulled at my heartstrings. Sienna and Guy may have started their relationship with a marriage of convenience but it bloomed into one of love and support, compassion and teamwork. This might not have been a rom-com full of funny moments and banter, but it was a great reminder about the reason for the season and opening our hearts to those who need it.
