Child of Darkness, Volume 3 by V.C. Andrews

This series has to be one of the worst of the ghostwriter VCA, and I just cannot continue. Sometimes I like to read reviews while I'm reading VCA for fun, and from my knowledge, this book is so simple and does not even answer questions in regards to Panther (who I was hoping would be a central character). It seems like it's a basic story about drags-to-riches, and this story happens so often, reminding me of Heaven, the miniseries Runaways/Orphans (can't remember which one, probs Orphans lol). But it's disappointing after dealing with spirits and crazy batshit stuff. Like I'm sorry but Baby Celeste does not really feel like herself from the other book and becomes a generic female VCA protagonist.
This book was honestly so boring, and I recently (as in today) read a quote by the real VCA, who said that her goal was to write books that kept the intrigue of her readers, and I think Andrew Neilderman (the ghostwriter) has an issue with complying with that. He writes books to make money, which is bull because VCA had a great name to her and he spoiled it.
