the happiness these characters give me is unreal. i loved this book just as much as the first (if not maybe more?)
the character development was absolutely fantastic. the aunt / niece relationship? AHHHHH too cute. Emily getting annoyed at ariadne just reminded me of my autism getting annoyed with my adhd so it always made me laugh.
also rose??? what a pleasant surprise he was!!
i feel pleasantly full and warm. this series and these characters bring me so much comfort. i am so grateful i read it now as it was a really needed escape during some difficult times. i cannot wait for book 3 and will most likely be re read the first 2 before its release for no other reason than the pure joy they bring me.
also the narration?! 262662/10
