I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick read with a spooky element. I would also recommend it to people whose first language isn't English, as it is vey short and was written in such a 'simple' way.
I understand that we see everything from Amanda's point of view, but some answers would have been nice. We got to understand how Naamah came to be, but how did she find Amanda? Had she tried to possess Ed too and killed him because of that? Or was Ed trying to hold Amanda back and got killed for it?
I did like how the ending seemed to speed up as there were less and less memories from Amanda and the blackouts became longer and longer. Nevertheless, the ending was quite unsatisfying. It read more like a reddit post than anything. The dryness of a lot of the horrific stuff (like almost drowning a child, snapping an old woman's wrist, killing her co-worker) just made me feel bored.
My favourite part though, was Amanda and Naamah seeing the other possessed people. Now those scenes, those descriptions I found disturbing.

My boyfriend gifted me this book (in a boo basket! Isn't he great!) based on it's description, but I must admit that the description seemed eerier than the book itself.
