Regretting You by Colleen Hoover

3.0

3.5 stars.
I was so excited to dive into another Colleen Hoover book, because let’s be honest, her books are usually amazing! I feel like all the five star ratings hyped me up even more. This is GOING to be good. Then, was soooo sad that I didn’t like it as much as her other books. I loved the writing, it was beautiful and I bookmarked several pages in my Kindle, so I could go back and read them. I loved the characters, they were so relatable and real(!!) I feel like they’re out there breathing the same air as me! But, I hate that some things went unanswered concerning Chris and Jenny!! I wanted to know more! Then again, I understand why Hoover didn’t give us more. We’re left feeling like Morgan, so many unanswered questions. I also wasn’t the biggest fan of Clara and Miller. I just felt like it was insta love, even though it wasn’t. They just hit it off from the beginning and I wasn’t as invested in their story as I was Jonah and Morgan—which was complicated to say the least. Overall, it was a good read—I finished it in a day. But, I felt like it was missing the typical magic that’s in Colleen Hoover’s books.
