Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson

I really really loved the concept of this book. I loved the metaphor for parenting special needs kids and feelings of isolation and judgment from the outside world. It is a theme that needs to be explored so much more. However, I was grossly aware throughout the entire book that this was a story about motherhood written from a man’s perspective. It was so obviously written by a man. Very cliche stereotypes for womanhood, the primary female relationship was not realistic. These were not real women that were represented, but the idea of what some dude thinks women are like. Give this story line to a woman and watch this become a deeper exploration into the bond between caregiver and child. I beg of you.
