This was an interesting premise for a book. It's split into 2 books, the first 1/3 or so is a novel about Dr. Spencer Black, and the other 2/3 is an illustrated book written by the doctor. I wish the novel had been more in depth. It was a teaser in a sense. And although some parts of the story were meant to be mysterious, it left me wanting and unfulfilled.
