That's Not My Name by Megan Lally

5.0

Booktok has redeemed itself! Wow. There aren’t many thrillers that have genuinely shocked me, but I was NOT expecting that twist at the ending of That’s Not My Name. I’m pretty sure I audibly gasped when I read it.

I struggled to stay engaged for the first quarter or so of the book, but then we got a little more, then even more suspense. In hindsight, it was a good buildup for the real excitement that didn’t come until about 50-60% in. Once it did, I was hooked.

I was so angry for Drew (the MMC) throughout the entire novel, and the ending just pushed me over the edge into full sobs.

There were a couple of plot holes that bothered me but once the action picked up, all was forgotten. This will likely be a top recommendation for me.
