This was such a good sequel!!

It follows the same group of characters that you learned to love in A Ruinous Fate, but now they're a bit scattered. I really liked how this book utilized multiple POVs, and let us see more of the characters' backstories and origins. That's something that I was looking forward to after reading the first book. This story also explores more of Illustros and its various regions. The different cultures were very interesting to see, and I hope to see more of that in the future. Other continents were also brought up, and now I'm wondering if the next book will see them travelling in these other continents.

I can't even imagine how this trilogy will end! I've already started wondering who will be on the cover on the next book...I'm thinking Hannah so that each of the girls will have their chance. Speaking of...DELPHINE IN THIS BOOK? HELLO??? Strong and courageous and I just love all of these characters for who they are and what they represent. I hope there's a good ending for all of them by the end of the story, but these books have broken my heart before so who knows!
