Love Is A Revolution follows the life of black girl named Nala who wants to make the most of her summer before going to her senior year. Living with her cousin, who’s an activist involved with Inspire Harlem, she tends to live in her shadow.

While her cousin volunteers in the program, Nala tags along and meets Tye, one of the other volunteers. She tries to impress him by lying about who she is. Meanwhile she tries to figure out: who is Nala really?
