it’s a cute romcom with great spice & a very interesting premise but ended up being mid

you keep having to suspend your disbelief bc how in the world can such intelligent women be so GODDAMN SILLY!! just USE YOUR WORDS !!!
the fact they haven’t discussed marriage properly before getting engaged in the epilogue kind of ruined that bit for me like HAVE WE LEARNT NOTHING?!?!
. i didn’t mind so much in the beginning but this is a long book and the fwb with awful boundaries and communications really dragged on for me to the point i got to annoyed at the characters & had to take a break & read something else

also for such a long book i really wished the side characters had been more developed instead of being very one dimensional NPCs (emma & Reagan had so much potential!!!!).

i think the author has potential so ill defo read more of her books but yeah this one was only okay and kind of boring

note on the audiobook: charlotte’s narration is so irritating & breathy it kept making me cringe massively which took me out of the story a lot
