I must admit I own several books by this author (the whole revenge games series) it was highly recommended and I bought it and never read it. Well after reading this book. I know I need to move that series closer to the top of my TBR list. This book surprised me. I thought it was going to be about an egotistical hockey player who broke a girl’s heart and then they meet up again years later. So Aiden is indeed a great hockey player but he’s also an incredibly sensitive, nice guy who has loved Lennox just about all his life and because of this split between them he hasn’t been truly okay in a long time. He has hidden his emotional struggles from his friends, family and teammates. Now Lennox also has some stuff going on because she desperately wants to make a name for herself and succeed without her family. You could almost say poor little rich kid problems. Since they both come from wealthy families. However, the issues between them needed to be resolved and I liked how they took the time to get to know each other and fall in love again. I liked Lennox but I loved Aiden and his songs. Every time Aiden had a song come to mind or thought of a song fitting for the moment it made me think of my childhood. Songs really do bring us together and help us heal. The power of music is strong and I loved that the author incorporated this into the story.
