The Night We Lost Him was a beautifully written love story and family drama. Not a romance, but a story of how a father loved his children in the only way he could. It was a story of a long and enduring love that was definitely not traditional. It was also a story of loss and grief and how one comes to terms with them. There was a mystery that pulled the whole story together and allowed us to learn about all of the characters but it definitely was not the typical mystery/thriller.
