Dnf. This had such promise to be fun escape/comfort read. But good lord, do your research! This is free in KU, so at least I didn’t pay for it. But seriously. You don’t refer to a duke as Duke X. It’s his grace the duke of X. Or just his grace. Not duke X. The earl of X is Lord X, not lord surname. 

As an avid historical romance reader, there are just too many mistakes. I couldn’t concentrate on the story. I couldn’t enjoy it. I was way too distracted by the lack of research in addressing and referencing nobility. 

I also was already sick of the repetitiveness. The same statements were repeated over and over with little to no variation. 

Didn’t make it very far. But this apparently new author needs to research before publishing.
