Poor Haven had a horrible childhood where she was never hugged, therefore she is very reluctant to hug or get close to anyone. This is preventing her from having relationships and becoming intimate with others. So she decides with her therapist to hire a cuddler. When she meets her cuddler she is not feeling any warm or fuzzy feelings toward him but reluctantly agrees to continue coming. However, King has seen Haven and he is obsessed and convinces the cuddler to let him take his place. So the next week King meets Haven and an instant attraction forms, he is so good at taking his time and trying not to overwhelm her, when all he wants is to be with her. I love all of Hope Ford’s book and this one is no exception. They all feature men who are strong, confident, caring possessive men who love their women. King was such a great guy who unfortunately suffered trauma as a child that affected his relationships with women. I loved this book and the flow of their relationship and the spice was indeed spicy. A great romantic read for those of us still longing for the one.
