Wildfire by Hannah Grace

“It’s an overwhelming feeling, watching Russ step into the guy he clearly is deep down when you ward off the insecurities. I feel so fucking lucky that I’m the one watching.” ~ Aurora ”Rory” Roberts

I found Aurora truly lovable. She was outgoing and rambled endearingly without being annoying. I appreciated how she encouraged Russ to open up and just listened to him. Russ, as described by his friends, lived up to the description. This hot, sexy 6'5" hockey player with shyness and low confidence came off as a sweetheart. I adored him. The absence of a third-act breakup was refreshing, showing character growth and improved communication. Wildfire and Icebreaker are on the same level for me (I would lower Icebreaker on a reread, I think). I'll definitely be buying and reading the last installment of this trilogy. Some trigger warnings to be aware off: emotional abuse, addiction.
