MacArthur's Bloody Butchers: Company G, 163rd Infantry Regiment, in the Pacific War by Brian Bruce

adventurous challenging informative medium-paced

4.0

This is not the sort of book I'd usually pick and a connection with the author led me to it. But I am glad as it was revealing about a side of WWII that is unfamiliar to me. And the writing was straightforwardly clear with a streak of empathy for the young GIs he depicts.
