Ahhh unfortunately this missed the mark for me. There's a density here that made this too sluggish a read and i wasn't a fan of this pacing at all.

And the actual narrative had me scratching my head because what was up with the dick jokes?! it's not that I don't enjoy this kind of silly now and then, but this flex was 2/3 of the narrative and i honestly didn't know what to do with that.

I did love the references to MateHub, but then it only reminded me of how much i loved Legend and how much i did not love this and that made me sad. Also, this book cover has a stunning man on it and i could not be madder that the romance was not a mega win for me! whyyyyy

So yeah, i'm full up on "metaphorical dicks" and while this wasn't the greatest read for me, i do hope the rest of this series will deliver a romance i can fall in love with. because i saw that shine in MateHub, and i know that Marie Reynard can deliver THAT chemistry. so here's hoping whatever comes next will be scrumptious, because Kade and Liam's romance sadly did not work so well for me.
