Imagine Me by Tahereh Mafi
5.0
Imagine Me was everything I wanted from this final installment and is definitely my favorite book in the second trilogy.
Things get intense right away, and I am here for it! So much action and suspense. There was never a dull moment.
It was refreshing to have danger and urgency unrelated to the romance. I love our main ship, don’t get me wrong. But there was something so intriguing about seeing the way the main characters face the world on their own, after having become reliant on one another as friends and partners.
The plot itself was a pleasant surprise. Mafi really took advantage of the powers and world she constructed with these books, which I have wanted her to do from the beginning! The events of the book were original and slightly bizarre, but they didn’t feel out of place in the grand scheme of things. It felt right, like the entire series (from even the first book) had been working towards this conflict and resolution.
This was a perfect conclusion!
