The Man Who Broke Into Auschwitz: A True Story of World War II by Denis Avey
4.0
Rated this a four star book because it contains a really important recollection from a true story perspective. A lot to learn, harrowing, sad and moving! There were some points I had to shut the book and breathe and come back to it! This was real life and it’s hurtful.
In terms of how it was written, the beginning dragged on a little with detail in places that did not interest me . Saying that, it’s worth getting through as it builds context and comparison to the main reason why this book was written.
