The book certainly offers a very interesting insight into the mind of a person suffering from depression. I especially appreciate how the writing feels kind of.. disconnected and lacking emotion. The wikipedia style matter-of-fact kinda tone really works out here as it indicates how mental illness takes away your feelings, but obviously, I'm not an expert on the subject.
However, I've seen most of the people liking it for how much it resonated with them. I've had my lows, but not as much as Sylvia to feel as jaded with life as she is. I understand that I'm not really the target audience, but I only saw all the accounts from outside, I couldn't immerse myself in the book nor feel what Sylvia felt and I guess I should be glad for that.
