This was a very underwhelming squeal to a book that I really liked. It wasn't completely trash, so it gets 3-stars, but it still really left me disappointed.
Firstly, the way the characters cuss in this book is how middle school kids think is how you cuss. It's very childish and in my opinion, juvenile. Secondly, Ikenna has changed very little since the first book, she's still brash, impulsive, and annoyingly stubborn to the point of unlikeability. I expected a lot more character development from her but instead was left annoyed and disappointed with her and this book.
I most likely have more complaints about this book but these are my main ones.
