At the Heart of Christmas by Jill Monroe

Currently keeping this one so my mom can read it & then decide if we’re actually keeping it 😂
When it comes to Hallmark Publishing, I have found that many authors who write the story after the movie was released are very lazy in constructing a true story that expands the script from the movie & in this case for me it really flopped. It took 80+ percent of the book for the male mc to come clean about what he’s been hiding & there was no groveling as I believe there ought to have been & the “apology” was lackluster at best IMHO. So for anyone who loves Hallmark’s movies beware that just because there’s a book, it doesn’t mean it’ll be any better & highly recommend checking out the author first to see if it’s a debut or if they have some sort of backlist.
