I must admit this is my first ever Laura Pavlov book and I feel like a fool for waiting so long to discover this author. This book was so darn cute and romantic. Now this was the fourth book in the Magnolia Falls series and it’s the first one I read and I didn’t feel lost. This book follows Nash his adorable son Cutler (beefcake) and Emerson. Nash is the co-owner of a construction company, a very involved father whose son has had asthma attacks. Emerson is a woman on the run, sort of, she discovered her fiancé cheated on her with her best friend so she took off and decides to take over the medical practice of Doc Dolby for a couple of months while he steps back. Now Nash is not interested in Emerson he has his hands full and romance is not in the plans. Yet with Emerson’s his son’s new pediatrician and his neighbor these two can’t seem to avoid each other. I like when a romance occurs when the two people least expect or even want it. These two were destined for each other. I loved how these each shared secrets and stories they hadn’t shared with others. I truly enjoyed this feel good, happy love story. I loved Nash who was so selfless and giving to others, he didn’t realize he needed Emerson until she was in his life. It’s nice when two people who need someone find their person. Laura Pavlov has a new fan.
