Small town Staci Hart is just my FAVORITE!
I have truly fallen in love with this little Texan town and all the incredible characters Staci Hart has created within it. Every time I think I can't love it any more, she pulls me into another hilarious and beautiful love story that sweeps me off my feet.
Keaton Meyer is definitely a top fave Hart Hero. He is so broody and beastly and yet gentle like a teddy bear. My favorite! And the way he's so lost for Daisy just melts my heart. Even when he tries to fight it, thinking it would be better for both of them to not even bother, he can't help but watch her and care for her and protect her. SWOON!
I also have to add that the Blum sisters (and their cousin, Presley) have such a rich relationship that when I read their family scenes, I feel like I'm right there with them. I'm cracking jokes with Jo, planning how to save the world with Poppy, baking with Mama and quietly caring for everyone with Daisy. Hart completely outdid herself when she developed this entire town, and it's so real, I want to move there!
There were so many beautiful messages in On the Honey Side, from asking hard questions about homelessness and our role as a community to help, to the gut-wrenching forgiveness and difficulty of moving on after losing a loved one. I legit CRIED at the end of this ROM COM because I was so in my feels. The writing is just superb!
On the Honey Side is as heartwarming as it is hilarious. It blends the humor of matchmaking with the heat of a slow burn for a cocktail I can't resist and will beg for time and time again. Sweet, touching, and subtly steamy, it was the perfect romantic comedy to get lost in at the end of a hectic day. An easy five-star and must read of 2022!
