Bitten by Kelley Armstrong
4.0
This is not my normal type of reading and I had great reservations about reading it. I don't know why, I enjoy vampire books. Within the first few pages I was hooked. In the first chapter we are walked through Elena change and it was painful to read even though I wasn't quite sure what was going on. Elena renounced herself to the pack and has returned to the human world, when Jeremy contacts her. She returns home to Stonehaven while telling her human boyfriend Phillip a lie. Upon her return, she learns mutts are attacking the pack in great numbers. This quickly becomes a story of defending the Pack and protecting its terrority. But Armstrong makes it so much more, we read about everyone's loyalty to the Pack, how they connect to each other and finding out where you belong. I don't give the book a 5 star, just for the fact the ending just ended and I don't feel it supported the plot.
