I am not a big Jane Austen girl but I genuinely enjoyed this Pride & Prejudice retelling. I liked it a lot more than the previous book in the series (Emma), likely because I didn’t find anything so objectionable (I struggled with the Emma/Knightley age gap). The storytelling was well done and the modernization felt right - you could see the connections to the original but the story felt right at home in modern times.
