Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin
5.0
This I think is one of my favourite books and one I re-read every now and again. I love how it addresses identity and the whole would you change if you could. Before the accident Naomi is apparently quite shallow (evident from the food diary) and stubborn in regards to her mother. The accident gives her a new perspective on life and that she should do things - like the play - that make her happy not just stuff she did before. Like Yearbook (they dedicate a scary amount of hours to that by the way) she's not sure why she ever loved but I think due to the circumstances towards the end of the book she starts to regain her love and passion for it, it probably won't be the same as before but that's because Naomi herself is not the same as before.
