I always get excited when AL is coming out with a new book because I just know it is going to be one that I enjoy. There is the element of the motorcycle clubs which always makes me intrigued. Most of her men are morally grey which is another check mark in her favor. The spice is always fantastic, and then there is the element of suspense that gets me every time! I find myself trying to guess who is going to be behind the turmoil but apparently am not good at that as I have yet to figure out one yet! This book had ALL of these elements PLUS my favorite trope- BROTHER'S BEST FRIEND. Otto and Raven were just chef's kiss in this!! The buildup. The backstory with the dual POV and dual timeline. The chemistry between these two. The tabooness and then of course the only one bed. Come on AL! This book was stacked. You knew right off the bat that neither of these characters were what we were seeing. There was more happening the whole time. I did not see the end coming with the betrayal that happened but instead of breaking our people it only made them stronger.

Raven is on a mission to spread her wings. She loves her brother but can no longer live with him. She is going to make her move for the man she has had her eyes on for forever- Otto. Her brother's best friend. She just KNOWS he feels how she does but for some reason he keeps pushing her away. Well now that circumstances have changed, she is living in his house with him. She is surrounded by him constantly. She is going to tell him the truth. She is going to lay it out there and hope he feels it too. But first she decides to test their chemistry. See she has something she hasn't told anyone and once she tells Otto- that's how she gets his walls to lower. And what she experiences with him is unlike anything she has ever experienced. And even though she thought it before she knows now that they are meant to be. But then things start happening to her shop. Someone from their past is coming for them. And even though she acts like she doesn't know who it could be- she does. Because Raven has another secret. And the more she explores this thing between her and Otto the more it becomes apparent that this secret is going to come out. She just hopes that their love will be able to survive the other side of it.

Otto has been fighting this feeling that he has had for too long. See he has had this thing for his best friend's little sister Raven. But it can never be. He swore it. So he has been what he can- he has stood by her through thick and thin. Been there for her when she needed him. And somehow that now means that she is living with him. She is constantly in his space. And even though she hides it he can see what she feels. He can see what she wants. But he can't give in. Until one night when she bares a secret of hers to him. Something she has been hiding that she lets out. And she asks for his help with it. He gives in. He is only human. But then one time turns into more and confessions of feelings. And this all feels so right. But then things start happening to Raven's store and Otto's house. Otto has things he is hiding from his squad. Things he thinks he needs to handle alone. He is convinced that is what is coming for him. H is determined to take care of this before it gets too far. But then his worst fear happens and he can only hope that he is in time THIS time. Because even though he wasn't before, it feels different now. Raven is his and he is hers.

I am really excited to read book 1 and to get to see who all of these guys fall to their knees for. I am also excited to get to learn more about the guys. I feel like we are getting glimpses and of course I love the found family in this series. It just makes each book so much fun as it expands. I really liked reading Otto and Raven- though they had a long journey it was worth it. I always appreciate how well AL handles heavier topics (there are some in this book by the way). The ONLY reason this one wasn't five stars is because I felt like it was tad bit too long. At the same time, we got additional spice scenes which I am here for LOL.

Thank you to Valentine PR and AL for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
