Maus: A Survivor's Tale. My Father Bleeds History by Art Spiegelman

Not sure why it's taken me thins long to get to these graphic novels, but my word, they hit like a freight train. There's some parts of the story that are beyond gut wrenching. But so far, whilst the events of the biography are terrible, and the people portrayed struggle; their vibrancy, their life, their exuberance leap off the page.

I'm going to read Maus II, but I'm already petrified of what's to be portrayed.

Also, the very last page of the graphic novel makes it. Staggering exploration of life, in a single page, that comics typically do not grapple with.
