I should have known better than to pick up a book of absurdist short stories--I tend to read stories that have some tether (no matter how tenuous) to reality. As such, these went completely over my head.

I almost put the book down after reading the first two stories, but I kept going until the halfway point. Although there was some beauty and magic in this book, and although some stories were better than others, this book was meant for a different reader.
