This was one recommended in my AA group (AudiobookAddicts *Ü*) ... the Kindle text and audio were available in KindleUnlimited. I guess this was an option for a Prime pick in February. I'm on Prime, but I think I forgot to grab a book last month. Dang it. I wouldn't mind having this in my cloud to keep.
So many high reviews ... and I agree. I was totally caught up in this story. I wanted to keep listening, and reading (I switched between the two). I wanted to keep going, but I wasn't sure I wanted it to end. There were some tears.
Because of the blurb, it's pretty obvious that there is a death near the start. It was interesting to get a omniscient, but still personal/individual, perspective. There were lots of things that really made you think. In fact ... there is an author's note and discussion questions included in the Kindle copy that aren't included in the audio. I was glad someone mentioned them, because I appreciated the additional information and the questions provided.
Parental Perspective - there were a few uses of proFanity. Some discussion of sex - it happens, but nothing explicit. Nothing overly graphic, although it was a tough situation.
