What a fantastic story!! One of the best things I’ve read this year. I couldn’t get into The Martian (that dude had like no emotions, what a robot), but our main character here felt delightfully real and well-rounded. With a few exceptions, most of the science content was pretty easy to grasp, like a fun Hank Green TikTok. I feel like I’m seeing the world through a more scientific lens these days, full of wonder for things I generally take for granted. I love when a book can shift my perspective in that way! This was a great page turner, but not a super intense thriller style. Oh there is just so much heart here! I wish I could say more about a character but I don’t want to spoil anything. You gotta read this one!
