I love how the author let more than one conflict in the book that are kind of like side quests for example Nevery thinking Conn is a spy helping Crowe or when Conn was trying to find his locus magicalicus when Pettivox was forcing him to because he had to find it in 30 days.

I also liked the character development and how Conn grew through the book. I will definitely be continuing the series.
