The book goes downhill after they get to the city. I'm not confident the author knew where it was heading and it just got so shaky. I was onboard with the romance until the city when he suddenly got really possessive and belittling. Then there's one of the worst and longest sex scenes I've ever read and the book lost me entirely. I couldn't get past it fast enough, this man does not fuck, his dirty talk makes me cringe, he feels like a gross loser and I'll never be able to rewind to when I kinda liked him
