Dark Restraint by Katee Robert
5.0
Sometimes there's a book that just fits you to a tee with its tropes/characters... and that's this book for me. I anticipated this book so much because of the pairing - Ariadne, the sweet and hopeful daughter of a tyrant, and the Minotaur, a vicious weapon wielded by her father.
I love good girl + bad boy and this adds in so many elements I love. He was born a street child, and had to survive by any means necessary. She was a coddled princess who was sweet and caring. He loved her at first sight, and became her father's weapon with the promise that one day she would be "given" to him. He's possessive, emotionally stunted, morally gray.
So even though this book may not be "the best" technically.... oh boy did I love it. I MUST do an annotation of it.
