Wow, what a ride! My heart was racing the whole time. It was tense til the last moment.

More than anything, Rumaan Alam perfectly (and with skillful precision) captured the absolute quotidian terror of being black-- particularly upper class black. 

It also unknowingly landed just in time to beautifully capture the zeitgeist of this whole pandemic mess. You might wanna wait a few years to read it if you're already feeling a bit stressed!
