Normale Menschen by Sally Rooney

This is very difficult to rate - I finished this book last night and haven't stop thinking about it since. Looking back, I can understand the low ratings as much as the very high ones in this feed. The story is somehow both heartbreaking, frustrating and beautiful. There were so many thoughts voiced directly or between the lines about politics, class and status, literature and relationships that made me stop and think - but the story itself, although every word feels intentional, is very unsatisfying. But maybe even in a good way? It's hard to describe, but this book left a lasting impact on me and somehow in its imperfection, it is a perfect messy thing.
