Kind of disappointed in this sequel. I loved the first book and had some high expectations that did not get met. It was incredibly slow in the beginning and I zoned out/didn't know what was going on because it would not keep my attention. If I had the physical book to follow along it might have helped a bit to keep me more engaged instead of just doing the audio. It was beautifully written, but I don't think the overall story was a necessity to read after reading the first book. It wasn't bad but not wasn't nearly as good as the first book in the duology.
